11am – 2pm Friday, July 30, 2010
$59.00 Break-Out Session ( free to Vacation with Vanelli participants)

Join Vanelli and friends as they explore St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city. Known as the “Ancient City,” Saint Augustine is located between North East and Central East Florida and is convenient to Jacksonville, Orlando, and Daytona airports.

What to Expect

Vacation with Vanelli is a unique style workshop that teaches the art of digital work-flow covering the FIVE P’s: Plan, Photograph, Process, Post and Print. Vanelli and friends travel to exciting places working on projects for their books and portfolio. Vacationers get a chance to work and learn along side these amazing photographers as they refine their own skills. Imagine having a personal instructor looking over your shoulder whispering tips and tricks in your ear!

The vacation workshop is designed to be hands-on. All levels from beginners to advanced can attend. The fun starts at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, June 16th and continues until 5:00 pm Saturday, June 19th. If you need help deciding what to bring, visit the Survival Kit’s Packing List.

Although the workshop is structured, you will also have free time for vacation-type activities on your own if you wish. Vanelli will always be available (he never sleeps); Sandy will be available most of the time (she does sleep). Peer knowledge and advice will be plentiful with our group Breakfast Babble and Dinner Discussions.

Added Bonus

A special break out session with a friend of Vanelli will be announced soon!  This hands-on workshop is open to the public for a small $59 fee. Participants of Vacation with Vanelli can attend for free.

Sedona

Here we go again! Vanelli has a lot of friends so everyone can’t fit into the North Carolina vacation. Red Rock Country is waiting for us. The hands-on vacation workshop is open to photographers of all levels (both short and tall are welcome). Meet-n-Greet starts at 5:00 pm on Monday, April 26th and goodbyes happen sometime Friday, April 30th.

The meeting room and living arrangements are again one in the same. If that’s Vanelli-overload for you, contact us for other accommodation options.  The large condo has several sleeping configurations which are offered on a first come, first serve basis.  The sooner you sign up, the more choices you will have. There is a grocery store and local shops nearby, and the condo features a full kitchen. Participants staying on-premises will have access to the resort amenities.

Getting There

The closest major airport is Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) about 120 miles away. It’s about a 120-minute drive (that’s 2 hours for all you liberal arts majors). Other closer, yet smaller airports include: Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG) and Sedona Airport (SEZ). Forcing Vanelli to focus for two hours in order to get himself to Sedona is a task in itself; therefore, transportation is not arranged or provided by Vacation With Vanelli. If you wanna talk to other participants about carpooling, send a shout and we’ll hook you up.

Detailed directions and the condo address can be found in the Survival Kit. Only paid participants have access. No party crashers allowed (unless they are bringing free food for everyone).

Refund Policy: If you chicken out, your dough is refundable up to 30 days before the workshop (minus a $25 restocking fee). If it’s less than 30 days we will transfer your registration to a future workshop, or to a different victim.

Five Day Photography Vacation Workshop with Vanelli!

The vacation workshop is designed to be hands-on (Vanelli expects many hugs). All levels from beginners to advanced can attend. The fun starts at 5:00 pm on Monday, March 8th and drags on until sometime Friday, March 12th. If you need help deciding what to bring, visit the Survival Kit’s Packing List. Ritalin and earplugs are highly recommended.

The meeting room and living arrangements are one in the same. Sleeping arrangements are first come, first serve.  There is a grocery store and local shops within walking distance, and the condo features a full kitchen. Getting There

The closest airport is Norfolk International Airport 64 miles away. It’s about a 90 minute drive (that’s an hour and a half for all you non-mathematical types). It’s not that Vanelli’s driving skills are bad; it’s his ability to stay off the Android while driving that makes it scary to be a passenger, therefore, carpooling is not arranged or provided by Vacation With Vanelli. If you wanna talk to other participants about carpooling, send a shout and we’ll hook you up.

Detailed directions and the condo address can be found in the Survival Kit. Only paid participants have access. No party crashers allowed.

Helpful hint: When you arrive in Kitty Hawk, get out of the vehicle and listen for the sound of Vanelli’s voice. Follow that sound to the condo. Shouldn’t be hard to do.

Refund Policy: If you chicken out, your dough is refundable up to 30 days before the workshop (minus a $25 restocking fee). If it’s less than 30 days we will transfer your registration to a future workshop, or to a different victim.
